CBT Club Holiday Party 2003

Dear CBT Alum;
We had a great Holiday Party this year. Nearly 200 people came to The Colonnade
Restaurant in
Twenty lucky attendees each picked out a door prize and twenty more won raffle prizes of crisp new fifty dollar bills. The door prizes were bottles of cheer, gift baskets filled with personal care, candy, and household items, movie packets for tickets and refreshments, and CBT baseball caps and pins.
We invited Diane Smith of radio and television fame to come and be our special speaker for the anniversary party. She is the author of Positively Connecticut and other books that portray many of the wonderful and fun aspects of our state. Her talk was poignant, entertaining, and informative with fascinating stories of people in our state who perform labors of love for fellow residents. She stayed and signed many books which she made available to us. We found her to be gracious and warm, and she added a special sparkle to our event. Thank you, Diane!
Conversations never slowed down, delicious dinners were consumed, and prizes exclaimed over. As a group, we brought a truckload of gorgeous toys, books, mittens, and food items. These were collected and brought to many recipients, including children who are living at homeless shelters during the Christmas season. We have warmed many hearts; thank you to all who brought these special gifts.
We have put together more than a dozen photos below this letter. We have 86 shots in total, thanks to our intrepid photographer Bob Kowalchyk!
SO! The Club can make cd's available of the entire group of 86 photos. These
can then be put right into your computer's cd drive and you can see them on
your computer screen! Please send us an email at info@cbtclub.org, if you would like
to be included in the list of folks we mail them to, giving us your name and
postal mailing address.
If you weren't at the party, chances are your name was mentioned and good thoughts were sent your way. The continuing fondness and camaraderie we have as a group is truly one of the treasures we share, both during this season and throughout the year.
